Laying of Maurice Ravellaan for new Ravel district

Starting in September 2023, we will spend a year working on the entrance to the new Ravel residential district: Maurice Ravellaan, with space for pedestrians, cyclists and plenty of green areas. We are also digging an actual canal, complete with bridges to the AFC sports fields.

De Boelelaan closed next to VUmc for five days

The construction scaffolding on the Amsterdam UMC (VUmc location) viaduct is being removed. To enable this to happen, the northern carriageway, the cycle path and the footpath on this section of De Boelelaan will be closed for five nights starting on Monday, 2 October.

Temporary landscaping of two plots in Kop Zuidas

Contractor Nieuw-Zuid to continue with next phase of station regeneration

The Nieuw-Zuid construction consortium (Mobilis, Boskalis, Van Gelder) has officially been given the go-ahead for the next phase of the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station. This will involve widening and raising the height of the existing station passageway (the Minervapassage) and making modifications to the railway platforms.

TriAX donates AED to Ons Buiten community garden

The TriAX construction consortium has presented a defibrillator to the members of the Ons Buiten community garden. TriAX funded the defibrillator from a bonus it received that it wanted to use for the benefit of local residents in the area around the De Nieuwe Meer interchange.

Consultation opens on draft zoning plan for Fred. Roeskestraat 55

On the site of the former temporary courthouse at Fred. Roeskestraat 55, there are plans to develop a building with offices and housing. The draft zoning plan for this development is now open for consultation until 18 October 2023. A walk-in evening has been scheduled for 21 September.

Limited access at Amsterdam Zuid station for two weekends

In the weekends of 9-10 and 23-24 September 2023, there will be disruption for travellers wishing to access the metro or railway from Zuidplein. The station entrance will be closed for up to 10 minutes on a regular basis (every two hours). There will also be noise disruption.

Stepstone social housing project almost complete

The Stepstone residential tower, the largest social housing project in Zuidas so far, reached its highest point in May 2023. In early 2024, first-timers aged up to 28 will start moving into one of the 216 starter homes in the social sector. Construction is running according to schedule.

Removing greenery from De Nieuwe Meer interchange

During the preparations for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we have been able to conduct soil surveys without any hindrance. But from the end of August 2023, there will be no way of avoiding it: in order to conduct further surveys and investigations, we need to remove the plants.
