Starting on 9 October, we will be removing the cycle path that leads from Beethovenstraat, between the Stibbe and AkzoNobel offices, to Beatrixpark. It runs diagonally across the site on which we will be building housing in the years ahead.
On 2 October 2023, the tender procedure for a housing construction project in the Kenniskwartier (Knowledge District) was launched. The construction scaffolding on the Amsterdam UMC (VUmc location) viaduct is being removed. To enable this to happen, the northern carriageway, the cycle path and the footpath on this section of De Boelelaan will be closed for five nights starting on Monday, 2 October.

In Zuidas, we are building quite a lot of construction pits, often surrounded by steel sheet pile walls. But not all these walls are the same. The method used to drive a sheet pile into the ground can also vary according to the location. We take a look at how it all works.
It will not be very long before The Newton is completed in Kop Zuidas. When it comes to the appearance and quality of this energy-efficient complex, it is obvious that no expense has been spared. ‘This is genuine craftsmanship: in no way is this standard housing construction.’
On the site of the former temporary courthouse at Fred. Roeskestraat 55, there are plans to develop a building with offices and housing. The draft zoning plan for this development is now open for consultation until 18 October 2023. A walk-in evening has been scheduled for 21 September.
