From 2 April until Friday, 28 June, a temporary tram shed is being built for the museum tram next to Jachthavenweg. This is expected to cause some disruption to traffic. Some parking spaces will also be temporarily out of use.
On 5 April 2023, we are organising two walk-in meetings for residents, businesses and other interested parties in the future regeneration of the Amstel interchange by Zuidasdok. You are warmly invited to attend.
Tripolis-Park is approaching completion after almost three years. Uber, its main tenant, will soon be moving into one of the three towers and part of the new building – the ‘horizontal’ skyscraper, dubbed a ‘landscraper’. Law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek will follow at the end of 2023.
The City of Amsterdam and owner First Sponsor are initiating a study into possibilities for redeveloping the Meerparc office building in Amstelveenseweg. The two parties signed a letter of intent to this effect on 21 October 2022.
Above all else, 2022 was the year when funding for the Zuidasdok project was finalized. But of course, it was also a year when we just kept on building. Many new homes were completed and work continued on the major upgrade at Amsterdam Zuid station. Preparations also began on the renovation of the motorway interchange at De Nieuwe Meer.
ProRail will be working on the railway tracks between 13 and 26 November, and it will not be possible to access Amsterdam Zuid station for two weeks. The Zuidasdok project will make use of this train-free period to relocate the control building for the rail and motorway bridges over the Schinkel.
The bridge connecting Damloperspad and Jachthavenweg, just to the south of the A10, has been temporarily restored. As a result, it is at last possible to walk all the way around De Nieuwe Meer again, much to the delight of many.
In preparation for the work at De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we are going to move the control centre for the Schinkelbrug. This work will begin in the autumn. We hope you will be able to join us for a walk-in meeting on 21 September.
The Zuidasdok meetings scheduled for 24 and 25 November about the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel interchanges will not go ahead. Because of the stricter coronavirus restrictions, we will be unable to organise these physical meetings in a responsible way.
The Zuidasdok programme includes some major work on the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel interchanges. We are organising meetings to inform you about this on Wednesday 24 and Thursday, 25 November 2021. They will also include information about other Zuidasdok projects.
The transformation of Tripolis Park has reached an important phase. A year and a half after the start of construction, work is now underway on the exterior. It is turning out to be quite a puzzle. ‘The original complex has more than 1,700 different window frames, all of which we had replicated.’
The tendering process for the reconstruction of the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, including the bridges over the river Schinkel, has been officially launched. The project is part of the Zuidasdok project and aims to improve traffic flow on the A10 Zuid.
