Work started on the art bridge across De Boelegracht in May 2023. We started by placing foundations on the south bank (the Buitenveldert side) in preparation for the real work: installing the bridge later this year.
The central section of De Boelelaan, between Beethovenstraat and Parnassusweg, is being redeveloped, adding a new green section and bringing changes to the traffic situation. A meeting about it is being held on Tuesday, 12 April 2022, both in person (fully subscribed) and online.
We last reported on the central section of De Boelelaan on 23 October 2020. Work is now fully underway, fortunately, and we will be able to inform you about the final designs next year.
Space for greenery and nature. That’s what residents would like to see in the central section of De Boelelaan when the street is re-landscaped. In mid-September 2020, more than 250 residents used an app to share their opinions.
From 20 August 2020 we are treating the common limes that are in the middle section of the De Boelelaan again. The objective is to prepare them properly so that after the redevelopment of the road they will prosper at their new spot for many more years to come.
