Nature-inclusive housing at Beatrixpark

Right next to Beatrixpark, KondorWessels Vastgoed is developing 94 homes. The residential building, named Habitat Royale, aims to provide good quality accommodation for all its residents: people, flora and fauna. Construction starts in the third quarter of 2024.

Bats protected during work on De Nieuwe Meer interchange

Today sees the start of the official consultation period for the exemption to the Nature Conservation Act for the De Nieuwe Meer interchange. This exemption regulates how to take special measures to protect nature in order to carry out works that would otherwise not be permissible.

Final PI59 demolition work starts

Paint growing outside the old courthouse

The former courthouse in Parnassusweg will soon be home to a museum of modern art. Until then, the building is being put to good use by artists. Dorette Evers has even transformed the two raised beds in front of the building into a paint garden.

11 July: residents’ evening on WTC masterplan

The owner of the WTC, CBRE IM, has plans to renovate and extend the WTC Amsterdam. A meeting is being held on 11 July 2022 to discuss the plans with local residents. You are welcome to attend in the WTC auditorium.

Reminder: please turn off the lights

Zuidas faces a stubborn – and in our view shameful – problem: lights being left on unnecessarily. Of course, some people continue to work into the evenings. But leaving entire office buildings bathed in artificial light all night is of no benefit whatsoever.

Local school children design sustainable residential district

For their module in ‘sustainable local development’, pupils from Vossius Gymnasium have been working on ideas for the Ravel district. They talked to experts, carried out field research and presented their ideas to a jury – who were very impressed!
