In the new Ravel residential district, something extraordinary is happening. To the south of the AFC football pitches, we are digging a canal: Ravelgracht. The fertile soil that we are removing is set to be reused in other places in Amsterdam.

In the night of Thursday, 23 and Friday, 24 November, two carriageways will be closed on the A10 In the direction of A4 Schiphol. No diversion will be necessary. During the works, traffic will use a single carriageway.
It will not be very long before The Newton is completed in Kop Zuidas. When it comes to the appearance and quality of this energy-efficient complex, it is obvious that no expense has been spared. ‘This is genuine craftsmanship: in no way is this standard housing construction.’
The evening of Saturday, 5 August 2023 marks the start of the closure of the A10 Zuid, in the direction of Utrecht and Hengelo. Because of construction work, Parnassusweg will be closed to cars and buses travelling in the direction of the city in the last weekend of May and first weekend of June 2023. This will be followed in the summer by a two-month road closure for cars travelling out of the city.
After two years of construction work, EDGE Stadium, located on the corner of Amstelveenseweg and Fred. Roeskestraat has been completed. The key aim of this redevelopment was to improve sustainability. The updated design has resulted in a stunningly attractive office building.
The old Strawinskyhuis in Prinses Irenestraat is now virtually unrecognisable. At the heart of what was once a brutalist complex, there now lies a bright and airy atrium. The building is not yet fully complete: work on it is expected to last until the end of the year.
In the night of 15-16 March 2023, we will be removing two trees in Parnassusweg close to Claude Debussylaan for replanting elsewhere. The trees need to be moved in order to make way for the construction of a new office building on the so-called 'Boog' plot.
All that remains of the brutalist complex at Prinses Irenestraat 59 is its bare carcase. This 1970s building is being thoroughly refurbished before Philips moves into it in 2025. So, how is construction progressing?
