Four years of construction work on the new courthouse in pictures

We’ve been following the construction of the largest courthouse in the country closely for nearly four years now. The project started by clearing away the rubble of what was there before and will end on Monday 3 May 2021 with the first court proceedings. We would like to thank the many hundreds of people who have created this iconic new building in Zuidas.

Tree-felling to make way for Conservatorium and De Puls

We are cutting down trees in two places in Zuidas. In order to provide space for the Conservatorium van Amsterdam music academy in Kapel & Convict, fifteen trees need to be felled. We will also be removing fifteen trees along the A10 in order to build De Puls.

Work starts on multi-use CROSSOVER building

In late February 2021, work is set to start on the construction of CROSSOVER in the Kop Zuidas area, at the corner of the A10 Zuid exit and Europaboulevard. The building promises to be an exciting blend of housing, employment, and amenities.

INNSiDE Hotel in 2Amsterdam opens 10 December

On 10 December 2020, the INNSiDE Hotel is opening a new four-star hotel in one of the two towers of 2Amsterdam. It will be the Spanish hotel chain Meliá's first hotel in the Netherlands. General manager Sjoerd Sybesma took us for a guided tour.

Social housing in Zuidas

While some people do not believe we are doing it, others think we are mad to be building social housing in Zuidas. Our policy is the same as for the rest of the city. Of all the homes we are yet to build, 40% is for the social rental segment and 40% for the middle segment.

Zuidas Pharmacy opens in Summertime

The first pharmacy in Zuidas opened on 3 September this year. Apotheek Zuidas embraces a concept targeting a modern population. In addition to the pharmacy, the healthcare concept also includes a general practitioners’ section and several medical disciplines.
