2023: the year of shifting and digging
The broad contours of the second passageway at Amsterdam Zuid station became visible. The existing passageway was also renovated. Numerous construction projects were completed. We also put together a great summer party. All of that – and much more – was 2023 in Zuidas.
3 July: meeting to discuss works in Prinses Irenebuurt area
A lot of construction work is taking place between Amsterdam Zuid station and Prinses Irenestraat. In the upcoming period, there will also be works in and around the station. On 3 July 2023, we are organising a walk-in meeting at the Thomaskerk to update you on what is happening.
Sybilla Dekker: ‘Raise the ambition level for Zuidasdok’
Building work on Zuidasdok is set to continue. As became apparent on 26 March 2020, the exploratory study carried out by the Minister of State, Sybilla Dekker, was enough to convince the administrators. Instead of suggesting ways of economising on the plans, Dekker argues the case for expanding the ambitions.
Well-attended info sessions on Knowledge Quarter and Zuidasdok
What are the plans for the area around the university and the medical centre? And what about the construction on the Zuidasdok project? What will be happening in the near future? We held two information sessions on 9 July 2018 to answer these questions and more.
Large numbers of trees to be cleared to make way for the work on Zuidasdok
Around 14,400 trees have to be felled, to make way for the work on Zuidasdok. In June of this year we reported that we were preparing an application for a tree-felling permit. The application has now been submitted. Starting this week, the draft decision concerning the tree-felling permit will be available for public inspection. What does that mean? Why do the trees have to go? Will they be replaced? Another important consideration: what do tree experts think about this?
