A surprising waterside walk in Zuidas

Even in Zuidas, water management is a challenge. For example, the passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station has been flooded at times. But there are also some more pleasant surprises. On 31 January 2022, the City Council approved the partial revision of the Zuidas Kop Zuidas 2018 zoning plan. Starting from 18 February 2022, you have a six-week period in which you can submit an appeal against this revision to the Council of State.

Uncertainty over McDonald's restaurant in The Gustav

The branch of McDonald’s planned for the ground floor of The Gustav residential complex is in doubt. A court has ruled that residents have not been kept adequately informed by the fast food chain, and they are therefore entitled to stop McDonald’s from opening in their building.
