The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has commissioned ProRail to embark on a so-called ‘planning and study phase’ exploring the options for a future third railway platform for Amsterdam Zuid station. The station currently has two platforms. Zuidasdok is working on the assumption that there will be a third platform.
On 12 March 2024, more than 150 people visited the market in the Zuidas-Zuidasdok Information Centre. Alongside many familiar faces, there were also quite a lot of new ones. People with specific questions and people with a general interest in Zuidas and Zuidasdok.
Although there will be nothing on sale, it will definitely be worth the effort coming along to our Information Centre in the WTC on tuesday 12 March 2024. At our market, you will have an opportunity to see, hear about and experience some of the major developments in your neighbourhood. You can even do some speed-dating.
On the so-called ‘de Boog‘ plot, construction work has started on The CubeHouse. This will be the new head offices of BNP Paribas Nederland and Arcadis. Remarkably, this office tower, developed by G&S&, will mostly be made out of wood.
The broad contours of the second passageway at Amsterdam Zuid station became visible. The existing passageway was also renovated. Numerous construction projects were completed. We also put together a great summer party. All of that – and much more – was 2023 in Zuidas.
The contracting parties for the Zuidasdok project have updated Amsterdam’s municipal council and the Dutch House of Representatives regarding progress on Zuidasdok in the first six months of 2023.
We have conducted tests to identify which coating and which removal product will be most effective in combating graffiti at the new Amsterdam Zuid station. We have found a product that most effectively meets our requirements.
On Wednesday, 11 October 2023, we are organising something very special. For the first time ever, you have an opportunity to take a look around the additional passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station: the Brittenpassage. It promises to be an impressive journey underneath the A10, the trains and metros.
Henk Appels will shortly be standing down as Building Manager at the Atrium in Strawinskylaan. He sees a Zuidas that is becoming increasingly busy: homes are being built, and there will be a tunnel and a new passageway in the future. ‘Ultimately, we all need to work together.’
The evening of Saturday, 5 August 2023 marks the start of the closure of the A10 Zuid, in the direction of Utrecht and Hengelo. On 27 July 2023, Amsterdam City Council and the Dutch House of Representatives were updated on progress on the Zuidasdok project in the second half of 2022. The report provides a valuable insight into the status of the work at the end of 2022.
