500 Beethovenstraat

Along Beethovenstraat, a new office building has been built featuring a clearly-defined and simple volume. In terms of the architecture, the decision was made to adopt a careful and equal approach to all sides: canal, street, and gardens. The simple volume of the building is made from glass, chrome, and white natural stone. The façade on Gershwinlaan is flat while the balconies on the corner between De Boelelaan and Beethovenstraat are sharp and deep in contrast.

Thanks to large windows, a canopied entrance and a majestic foyer, an attempt has been made to create a building that presents a metropolitan face towards the street. The office building’s powerful look and feel is intensified by the fact that the path towards the inner courtyard garden, an intimate pocket park, is complete with loggias.

While not the tallest building in Zuidas, 500 Beethovenstraat is an office building that offers users other distinct qualities. The irregular-shaped plot has resulted in highly specific floor plans. Combined with the resplendent outdoor space, this provides a unique office environment.
