- Study into redevelopment of Meerparc office building The City of Amsterdam and owner First Sponsor are initiating a study into possibilities for redeveloping the Meerparc office building in Amstelveenseweg. The two parties signed a letter of intent to this effect on 21 October 2022.
- Sober farewell to Schinkelbrug control towers The dismantling of the Schinkelbrug bridge control towers after half a century marks the end of an era. For now, the operators will be working from a hut. ‘You can definitely see more on camera, but you miss the sense of belonging to the bridge.’
- Work starts on Hogelandplein in Kop Zuidas Construction work on Hogelandplein, the new public square in the Kop Zuidas neighbourhood, is set to start on Friday, 27 January 2023. Of course, it will cause a little disruption, but, in around six months’ time, the neighbourhood will have a pleasant green neighbourhood square to show for it. It will even have space for running water.
- Roof section for second station passageway moved closer to A10 On 24 January 2023, the next section of the roof for the second passenger tunnel at Amsterdam Zuid station was moved closer to the A10. The operation was watched by dozens of interested people. We also captured the excitement on film and photographs.
- August 2023: A4 and A10 Zuid closed for eight days From Saturday 5 August until the morning of Monday 14 August, there will be major traffic disruption on the south side of Amsterdam. For an eight-day period, the A4 and A10 Zuid will be closed from the Badhoevedorp interchange to the S109 RAI exit because of work on Amsterdam Zuid station.
- Amsterdam Zuid station sheet piling works set to continue until summer At Amsterdam Zuid station, we will be inserting sheet piling and foundation piles into the ground until May 2023. This is to enable the construction of the second passenger tunnel and the renovation of the existing Minervapassage. The work is expected to cause occasional disruption.
- Upgrade for tram stop in Strawinksylaan Between 23 January and 7 March 2023, the platforms for trams 5 and 25 in Strawinskylaan are being widened. A tram shelter will also be added to the northern platform and a second crossing will be put in place.

But they don’t include Faisel Baboe and Mark Biere, who are in charge of the safety on the Zuidasdok and Zuidas construction sites. ‘Physical safety starts with social safety.’
- Come and watch us move 3,000,000 kg of steel and concrete Alongside the A10 Zuid, the fourth roof section for the Brittenpassage lies ready and waiting. On Tuesday, 24 January 2023, we will be moving this colossus, weighing 3,000,000 kg, closer to the A10 in order to make space for the construction of the fifth roof section.
