- VU StartHub welcomes start-ups with impact A community with a social impact, bringing together entrepreneurship, knowledge and business. That’s the VU StartHub, which opened on the VU campus on 6 October 2022. It’s a place where students can make their dreams a reality.

- Old School set for demolition Demolition work on the building in Zuidas known as Old School is set to start in November. The building is making way for housing and a small park. Before the demolition can start, several trees need to be felled. The bats in the Old School building will also be offered a new home.
- Glimpse of the future as you wait for the metro Since this summer, one of the two metro platforms at Amsterdam Zuid station has a height difference of 2 metres. As a result, passengers waiting for metro 50 or 51 in the direction of Isolatorweg are now facing a huge wall. We have made it into something nice.
- Crossover almost wind and waterproof, finishing work begins The construction of Crossover in the Kop Zuidas neighbourhood is progressing fast. The exterior of this multifunctional building is now virtually wind and waterproof. Inside, the contractor has started on the finishing work, while also adding the brick façade to the exterior.
- Work starts on next roof section for additional station tunnel Construction work has started on a new roof section for the Brittenpassage, the second passenger tunnel for Amsterdam Zuid station. ‘The work site is very small, with a lot of neighbours around it. That makes it quite a challenge’, says Geo van Tintelen.
- ADORE enables unique collaboration between medical disciplines Amsterdam UMC’s new ADORE Research and Diagnostic Centre is under construction in the Innovation District. This unique collaboration brings together oncologists and neurologists in the search for new treatments for cancer and brain diseases.
- Relocation of the Schinkelbrug control towers due to road widening Between mid-October and mid-December, we will be working on the Schinkelbrug and Jaagpad north of the bridge. In preparation for the work at the De Nieuwe Meer interchange, we will be moving the control towers for the Schinkelbrug.
- Work continuing on two passenger underpasses at Amsterdam Zuid After the major work that was completed in July and August 2022, the modernization and expansion of Amsterdam Zuid station continues to make rapid progress. We will now continue working on the new Brittenpassage, as well as on the existing Minervapassage. Passengers and local residents will notice the effects of this.
- Consultation on redeveloping Kapel and Convict buildings The Kapel & Convict buildings in the Beatrixpark have protected monument status and we would like to gauge market interest in redeveloping them for a cultural and/or societal function. This is being done by means of a market consultation, taking place between 19 September and 14 October 2022.
