24 uur Zuid: Hartwig Proxy opens its doors

In a few years, the new Hartwig Museum will open its doors in Zuidas. Until then, the Hartwig Art Foundation is organizing projects and activities under the name Hartwig Proxy. Proxy is a testing ground: an open space for exchange and experimentation in the years leading up to the opening of the museum on Parnassusweg. Come visit on Saturday, 11 October.     Maquette of Amsterdam

    To celebrate Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, the WTC is exhibiting a 70-square-meter 3D-printed model of the city. At a scale of 1:2000, the model depicts 75 striking and historic buildings. Using digital technology, the model changes color and interactively depicts stories about Amsterdam as a water city and a green city.

    Cinema The Pulse

    At the new cinema in The Pulse of Amsterdam, you can see a film daily in one of the six (wheelchair-accessible) screening rooms, also with a Cineville card. The selection is varied: from cult classics and arthouse to mainstream films. Before or after the film, you can enjoy food and drinks at the bar-restaurant Lucy. More information

    The ABN AMRO Kunstruimte (Art Space) offers space to one of the largest corporate collections in the Netherlands. The collection provides a broad picture of post-war visual art in the Netherlands. In addition to changing exhibitions, the permanent collection can be visited, with works by various modern art movements and artists such as Willem de Kooning, Donald Judd, Roy Lichtenstein and Anish Kapoor.

    StreetArt exhibition Building Connections

    On the Maurice Ravellaan you can visit the open-air exhibition 'Zuidas: Building Connections'. Nine street artists from the Netherlands and abroad transformed 120 m of construction hoardings into colourful street art, with themes such as hope, future, past, experiences, community, unity and acceptance. Free access.

    Nothing Wall

    Artist Lily van der Stokker transforms the world’s ‘visual waste’ - images and words in public spaces that demand our attention - into the subject of her work. With Nothing Wall, a 92-meter-long, hand-painted mural, she turns the construction fence of the future Hartwig Museum into a place filled with enlarged scribbles, curls and doodles.     Guided tour Zuidas and Zuidasdok

    Join us on a discovery tour of Zuidas and the major works of Zuidasdok. Every last Saturday of the month, our guide will take you on a tour of the area. As you stroll, you’ll gain a unique glimpse into the development of the Zuidas district and the Zuidasdok infrastructure project. There are no costs involved but registration is required. Spoken language: Dutch, but Q&A in English is possible.

    Guided Summer Tours

    Until 7 August 2026, the Information Centre is located in the pop-up location (‘pipowagen’) on Gustav Mahlerplein. We are open Monday to Thursday, and on those days you can join information officer Gijs or Jelte on a free guided tour of Zuidas and the Zuidasdok construction site. Registration is not required; just stop by the pipowagen and join in.

    Please note: tours may be cancelled at short notice due to weather conditions.

    The concert 'Schaduwspel' (Shadowplay) offers a moment of reflection. Inspired by the storytelling power of jazz musicians such as Bill Frisell, Aaron Parks, and Pat Metheny, guitarist, storyteller, and performer Noah Stakenborg and jazz saxophonist Jeline Weening create a soundscape that extends beyond just the notes.     Guided tour Zuidas

    Discover the story of Zuidas. During this walk, we’ll compare the residential and office districts, explore unique buildings, and gain a sense of the changes in this rapidly developing area. We start at the Information Centre Zuidas-Zuidasdok. The tour is in Dutch but Q&A in English is possible. Participation is free and no registration is required; simply join in. The tour is every two (even) weeks on Wednesdays from 1 PM to 2.30 PM:
