From Monday 16 February to Monday 2 March, the Amsterdam Transport Region will be working on the temporary stop for tram lines 5 and 25 at Parnassusweg. This includes the construction of a reversing track so trams from Uithoorn can turn around. Several diversions will be in place.
Car traffic
From Monday 16 February to Monday 2 March, Parnassusweg will be closed northbound (city-bound) between Gustav Mahlerlaan and Strawinskylaan. Through traffic will be diverted via De Boelelaan, Beethovenstraat, and Strawinskylaan.
Cyclists and pedestrians
Cyclists on the east side of Parnassusweg will be diverted via the other side until Monday 4 April. The crossing for cyclists and pedestrians at Gustav Mahlerlaan will remain open. During the asphalt paving work, it may be necessary to briefly close the crossing, with cyclists and pedestrians being diverted.
Tram
From 21 February (1 AM) to 2 March (5 AM), there will be no trams running between the A.J. Ernstraat and Amsterdam Zuid Station stops. Tram line 25 will only run between A.J. Ernstraat and Uithoorn Centrum. Tram line 5 will be shortened to Amsterdam Zuid Station and will not run between Amsterdam Zuid Station and Amstelveen Stadshart. A shuttle bus will run between the A.J. Ernststraat and Zuid (Strawinskylaan) stops. Signs will be posted at the tram stop. Up-to-date passenger information about the consequences for trams and buses can be found on theĀ GVB website.
