From Friday, 27 November 09.00 to Monday, 30 November 2026, 05.00, Parnassusweg will be closed to all traffic. Pedestrians, cyclists, and cars will be diverted. There will be no tram service and fewer metros running.

Motorised traffic and cyclists

  • Parnassusweg is closed to motorised and bicycle traffic
  • The diversion is via Beethovenstraat
  • Please allow for an extra travel time of 10-30 minutes

Pedestrians

  • Parnassusweg is closed to pedestrians
  • The diversion is via Amsterdam Zuid station
  • Please allow for extra walking time

Public transport

  • The tram will not be running from 01.00 on 28 November
  • Fewer metros will be running to and from Amsterdam Zuid station

Please note: during this period, the A10 South towards the A4 and connections from the A10 are also closed.

Work

We are building a metro viaduct at Amsterdam Zuid station. Girders are being hoisted into place from Parnassusweg, meaning traffic is not possible on Parnassusweg. Materials are also being transported to and from the motorway.
