Stand Up Comedy: Raul Kohli

WuSH Zuidas is becoming one of the fastest growing comedy rooms in Amsterdam. Each month on Sunday at 8 PM (doors open at 7 PM) headliners from the UK/European circuits perform here, entirely in English. This month the headliner is Raul Kohli - an award winning TV comedian. He will be supported by 4 other acts. As one of the few Asians to have grown up in the far north of England Raul Kohli is blessed with a worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Expat Cinema: Meet-up

Twice a month (every other Sunday and Wednesday evening) Rialto VU welcomes expats to watch recent foreign language films with English subtitles, and to meet up afterwards at Bar Boele for drinks and networking. On Sunday 2 April at 5 pm you can watch Sick of Myself by Norwegian film director Kristoffer Borgli. The film is about the relationship between thirty-somethings Thomas and Signe, both afflicted with rather narcissistic personalities. Signe is jealous of all the attention her boyfriend Thomas gets. Art Science Dialogues: Body and Polution

In collaboration with Amsterdam UMC Art Affairs, the VU Art Science gallery has invited scientists to take part in a moderated dialogue with the artists exhibited in Some Body. The Art Science Dialogues are linked to the exhibited artworks and focus on the four aspects of the exhibition: movement, social media, faith and pollution – all intertwined with the main exhibition theme of Some Body. Speakers: Sissel Marie Tonn (artist) & Juan Garcia Vallejo ( Immunologist) & Heather Leslie (microplastics researcher). The Art Science dialogues are English spoken, admission is free and registration is not necessary. More information.
