Summertime

Summertime is a housing construction project in Zuidas with 197 private-sector rental apartments, of which almost 90% are mid-market rental properties. The staggered arrangement of the apartments and different-coloured glass balcony screens set Summertime apart from its surroundings, largely made up of office-like buildings with straight lines and smooth façades.

Summertime comprises two buildings tapered towards each other, enabling as much light as possible to penetrate and maximising the views across Zuidas enjoyed by the residents. Because the blocks protrude, all of the balconies are individually located, providing optimum privacy. The building contains two-bedroom apartments and lofts with floor areas of approx. 66-99 sq. m. The apartments have fully-finished kitchens and bathrooms, spacious balconies or terraces and feature indoor storage units.

There is also an underground car park with around 150 parking spaces and approx. 1,100 sq. m. of commercial space in the plinth. Thanks to numerous innovations, including alternative energy generation, low-temperature heating and green façades, the building reflects the high levels of sustainability that the City of Amsterdam insists on for newbuild developments.
