From Monday, 17 February 2025 until 19 March 2027, the southern lock gate at the Nieuwe Meersluis lock will be closed to cyclists and pedestrians.
Open during rush hours
Cyclists and pedestrians can only use the northern lock gate in order to cross the Nieuwe Meersluis. During the morning rush hour between 07.00 AM and 09.00 AM pedestrians and cyclists will be able to walk and cycle across the northern lock gate unimpeded. Outside the morning rush hour, you may have to wait a while when crossing the road.
