From Monday, 12 January to Friday, 6 March 2026, the City of Amsterdam will be carrying out maintenance on the De Nieuwe Meer lock.
- The lock will be closed to boat traffic.
- Cyclists and pedestrians can cross the lock via a temporary bridge. This is indicated by signs.
Work
- New control system and motors
- Updating safety systems
- Repair of quays and walls
- Redesign of cycle path. This is necessary due to the expansion of the A10 Zuid (South). This cycle route will be available again once the work on the A10 is completed.
