Zuidasdok report and shortfall estimate

Outgoing Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen and deputy mayors Victor Everhardt and Egbert de Vries have updated the House of Representatives and Amsterdam City Council on Zuidasdok and the estimated financial shortfall.

Where?

In the semi-annual report, they provide information on progress in the programme during the second half of 2020. It also includes an estimate of the budget shortfall. According to an external review, this is estimated to be €1.2 billion. Central government and the region are in talks about an additional once-only budget contribution, separate to the Management Agreement of 2012.

The wild apple trees of Zuidasdok

The redevelopment of Amsterdam Zuid station and the A10 Zuid goes hand in hand with a new design for the green areas between the Amstel and De Nieuwe Meer junctions. Completion is scheduled for 2037, but trees are already being grown in preparation.

34 girders precisely positioned for new southern Schinkelbrug

In the freezing cold weekend of 14 and 15 February 2026, we hoisted 34 girders into place for the new southern bridge of the Schinkelbrug. Two giant telescopic cranes carried out the operation on a closed section of the A10 Zuid.
