The road will be closed from 22.00 in the evening of Friday, 27 September until 05.00 the following Monday morning. This closure will affect the whole of the A10 Zuid in the direction of Schiphol/Rotterdam, from the Amstel interchange to the De Nieuwe Meer junction. The S109 (Buitenveldert) and S108 (Oud Zuid) exits will be open and be reachable from the A2. The access road from Amstelveenseweg towards Schiphol/Rotterdam will be closed, but the S108 (Oud Zuid) exit is reachable from Europaboulevard. Diversion routes will be signposted. This is the fourth weekend closure of the A10 Zuid in 2024, out of a total of eight weekends.
Making room for two extra lanes…
This weekend, we will be making preparations for the construction of two extra lanes for the A10 Zuid, for the benefit of traffic from Amsterdam. At the De Nieuwe Meer junction, where the A10 Zuid becomes the A4 in the direction of Schiphol/Rotterdam, there is hardly any room to build. It is for this reason that we are narrowing and adjusting the existing lanes during the weekend.
…and for a new flyover
On the bend towards A10 West, we are also constructing a new flyover that will take traffic coming out of Amsterdam (the S108 or S109) towards the A4. To do this, we will be cutting down trees, roughly between the Joy tennis club and Vliegtuigstraat (see map below).
