From Friday night 11 July (start summer holidays in Noord-Holland) until Wednesday, 20 August 2025 (start SAIL Amsterdam), we will be closing Amstelveenseweg to motorised traffic underneath the A10 Zuid. The cycle path and footpath on the Amsterdam UMC (location VUmc) side will also be closed throughout this period. We will be working on the viaduct as part of the widening of the A10 Zuid.
Please note: from July 19 to August 18, 2025, the Parnassusweg will also be closed (city in) between Gustav Mahlerlaan and Strawinksylaan.

- Friday evening, 11 July – Wednesday evening, 20 August: closed to motorised traffic.
- Friday evening, 11 July – Wednesday evening, 20 August: footpath and cycle path on the east side, between Fred. Roeskestraat and De Boelelaan.
- Friday evening, 11 July – Wednesday evening, 20 August: eastern entrance to Amstelveenseweg metro stop.
- Friday, 11 July – Saturday, 19 July: cycle path on the east and west side of Amstelveenseweg.
- Saturday, 12 July – Saturday, 19 July: tram 24 will not be running between Stadionplein and De Boelelaan.
- Friday, 11 July – Saturday 12 July: S108 access road in the direction of Hengelo/Utrecht.
- Friday evening, 11 July – Saturday, 19 July: no taxis in Amstelveenseweg.
Open
- S108 access roads and exits to Amsterdam Oud Zuid and Buitenveldert, except on Friday, 11 July and Saturday, 12 July.
- Cyclists heading in and out of the city can make use of the west side of Amstelveenseweg (bus/tram stop). Except from Friday, 11 July until Saturday, 12 July, when cyclists will be able to use Piet Kranenbergpad.
- Pedestrians will be directed past the work.
Public transport
- Throughout the entire period, buses will still run past the works via Amstelveenseweg.
- The Amstelveenseweg metro stop will only be accessible from Amstelveenseweg via the west side (bus/tram stop).
- Saturday, 12 July – Saturday, 19 July: tram 24 will not be running between Stadionplein and De Boelelaan.
- Friday evening, 11 July – Saturday morning, 19 July: no taxis in Amstelveenseweg. After that, taxis will be able to drive past the works.
Diversion from Amstelveenseweg
- If you are driving in Amstelveenseweg on the south side of the A10 and wish to reach the north side, you should travel via the A10 Zuid to S109 RAI, turn around and take the A10 to the S108.
- Rijdt u op de Amstelveenseweg aan de noordkant van de A10 en wilt u naar de zuidkant? Rijd dan via de A10 Zuid naar de A4 afrit 1 Sloten, keer en rijd over de A10 naar de S108.
- Cyclists and pedestrians heading in and out of the city can make use of the west side of Amstelveenseweg.
- 11 to 19 July: cyclists will be diverted via Piet Kranenbergpad. This diversion will be signposted.
