Vivaldi

Vivaldi is a neighbourhood characterised by business and activity. Its most characteristic landmark building, the Cellnex media tower, is 150 m in height and features a light artwork by Giny Vos at a height of 120 m.

The neighbourhood was known as Drentepark until 2005, taking its name from Drentestraat as it was then known. The neighbourhood was then renamed Vivaldi and the name of the street became Antonio Vivaldistraat. Only the tram 4 terminal and turning loop at Amsterdam RAI Station still has the name Drentepark.

Although Vivaldi is primarily a location for offices, the first 82 homes in Zuidas were built here: Eurocenter in 2006. The neighbourhood really came to life when the European Medical Agency (EMA) was established here in 2019, followed six months later by the Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Zuidas.

The ultimate plan is for Vivaldi to be a mixed neighbourhood, featuring housing, offices and amenities. In addition, Vivaldi will also have a link for cyclists and pedestrians underneath the A10 and railway and metro tracks: the future Vivaldipassage. The plan is for this to connect Antonio Vivaldistraat with Beatrixpark. The Vivaldipassage is a Zuidasdok project.
