Underneath the A10 Zuid and the railway and metro tracks, we are building a tunnel for bicycles and pedestrians: the Vivaldipassage. It will be located to the west of RAI station and will connect Antonio Vivaldistraat with Beatrixpark to the north.

The realisation of the Vivaldipassage depends on a lot of work to be done above it. This is because the infrastructure above the passageway – railway and metro tracks and the carriageways of the A10 – is set to undergo radical changes in the years ahead. For example, the northern carriageway of the A10 Zuid is likely to be temporarily relocated in order to make room for the construction of the northern tunnel, into which the A10 Zuid will be diverted in the centre of Zuidas. Only when the mouth of the tunnel is in place, will it be possible to put the A10 back to its original position. There are also other works that are preventing construction work being completed on the Vivaldipassage until the very end of the Zuidasdok programme. In the meantime, we will be attempting to build sections of the roof during periods when work is already being carried out on the railway or metro tracks or on the A10 Zuid. The Vivaldipassage is scheduled to be completed by 2036.
