From Monday, 12 October to Friday, 23 October 2026, traffic arrangements on Gustav Mahlerlaan will be altered:
- Benjamin Brittenstraat, north of Claude Debussylaan, will be inaccessible to motorized traffic and cyclists. However, pedestrians will still be able to use this section of Benjamin Brittenstraat.
- Benjamin Brittenstraat, south of Claude Debussylaan, will remain accessible to all road users.
Work
We are replacing the asphalt roadway on Benjamin Brittenstraat -north of Claude Debussylaan- with paving bricks. This will transform this section of the street into a pedestrian zone across its entire width, from building facade to building facade. We are also installing a camera at the Benjamin Brittenstraat/Claude Debussylaan intersection, which will become operational on 1 November 2026. This constitutes phase 5A (see the map below) of a series of planned works.
