From 2 November 2026, until the end of May 2027, De Boelelaan will be closed to car and bicycle traffic between Parnassusweg and Beethovenstraat. The service road, however, will remain accessible.
Work
During this period, we will replace the roadway and reconfigure it as a 30 km/h zone. These works are part of the complete redesign of the central section of De Boelelaan.
Diversions
- Car traffic will be diverted southwards to the Van Nijenrodeweg via Buitenveldertselaan (west side) and Van Leijenberghlaan (east side).
- The service road remains accessible to car traffic, so please follow the signs.
- Through bicycle traffic is diverted via Gustav Mahlerlaan.
- The sidewalk on the service road will remain in use for pedestrians, with a crossing over De Boelelaan at the Lex van Delden Bridge.
Noise polution
Replacing the asphalt can cause noise, especially at the start of the work. Other activities can also cause temporary noise, such as the replacement of the sewer by Waternet (see information below): in order to be able to work dry, water is continuously pumped up.
Additional closure: construction work on Asingaborg
From 2 November 2026 through the end of January 2027, Waternet will be carrying out sewer construction work on Asingaborg. During this period, some parking spaces will be cordoned off; these will be restored once the work is complete. Local traffic will be able to access the frontage road from Asingaborg via Groningenstraat while the work is underway.
