Investment Memorandum Verdi sub-plan 2 available for inspection

In the recent period, we have worked on the draft Investment Memorandum Verdi for sub-plan 2. In an investment memorandum, the plans for the area are elaborated more specifically in an urban development plan. The guiding principles for the development of the Verdi area are connecting, densifying, and greening. These principles had already been identified in sub-plan 1 of which the Investment Memorandum was adopted by the Municipal Council in September 2019.

Residential district

This second plan comprises the realisation of a residential district at a part of the present location of the Sporthallen Zuid (Sports Centres South). The Sporthallen Zuid are relocated, stacked, and expanded along the A10 motorway. The Municipal Council is expected to reach a decision about the relocation of the Sporthallen Zuid at the end of this year. With the stacking, a noise barrier is created that protects the new residential district from the noise of the A10 motorway, the train, and the metro. In addition to the 500 to 600 new houses, the new sports centres, new development for the Van Det School, and various facilities, the plan provides for additional slow-traffic connections and quality improvement of the green and the public space.
