Amsterdam Open Tower Day extended until 27 March

The ninth Open Tower Day is taking place today (20 March 2021). This time, it is online and you can enjoy the panoramic views in a series of 3D photos. Because of the positive responses, the photos can now be viewed until Saturday, 27 March.

Where in Zuidas

Originally, the plan was to feature the 3D photos on opentorendag.nl today only, but the organiser Henri van Poll decided to extend Open Tower Day for a week after receiving so many great responses. This will give everyone extra time to enjoy the views. And don’t miss this: as part of Open Tower Day, carillon player Gideon Bodden will be bringing a musical end to the day from the Munttoren tower at 16.00. Participation in Open Tower Day is free of charge, although donations are welcome.

Towers in Zuidas

The towers taking part in Zuidas are: Crowne Plaza Hotel Amsterdam, Hourglass, INNSiDE by Meliá Amsterdam, Amsterdam Symphony, Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Zuidas, and the World Trade Center Amsterdam. You can find details of the towers involved in other parts of Amsterdam here. The photos taken in and on the towers are the work of Hans van der Vliet. This Amsterdam-based photographer is perhaps best known for his extraordinary architecture photography.
