Experience Zuidas during Building Day on 18 June

After three years, we’re allowed out again at last, and Zuidas is also getting involved in Dutch Building Day 2022. And not just a little bit. We already have a programme to give you a taster of what’s to come. And there are numerous other activities to be added in the course of the next month. People who took part last time (in 2019) will be astounded by everything that’s been built over the last three years. If you’ve never been to Zuidas this is your perfect opportunity to become acquainted with Amsterdam’s new centre. One that features what is perhaps the Netherlands’ most challenging infrastructure project: Zuidasdok. We’re convinced that you will be amazed.

Guided tours and activities

In the area around Amsterdam Zuid station, there will be an exciting party atmosphere. Gustav Mahlerplein, located opposite the station, will serve as the starting point for numerous guided tours and activities. They include a visit to the construction site where we’re working on a completely new Amsterdam Zuid station. But there’s plenty to experience even in less familiar parts of Zuidas. Take Kop Zuidas, for example, a neighbourhood still under development and known to very few people, but about which you will soon be able to boast that you were there when it was built. How about paying a visit to the iconic Valley building? Or the Zuidas Botanical Garden? Another fun activity: join our guide on a cycle ride between the Amstel to and De Nieuwe Meer interchanges and hear all about the renovation work on the A10 Zuid, including the new tunnels set to be built.

Information

Of course, you’re warmly welcome to join us. We will provide refreshments and there will be fun activities for children with an interest in construction. Mini-electric trains will be running throughout the day to transport you everywhere. Please note: a maximum number of participants applies for some parts of the programme. So, view the programme and register now. But remember: new activities will also be added, so keep a close eye on this website.
