The plans relate to plot 2C in the northern part of the Kenniskwartier district where a building is to be developed comprising at least 60 mid-market rented properties and up to 15 private sector homes. There will be space for two or more commercial amenities on the ground floor. Within the block of buildings, there will also be a small public park, called Florence Pricehof. The tender for the plot, referred to as ‘Kavel 2C Kenniskwartier Zuidas’, was published on Tenderned on 2 June 2025. The period for submitting tenders ends on 19 September 2025.

Horseshoe-shaped block

Plot 2C is part of a horseshoe-shaped block of buildings. The already completed multifunctional complex The Pulse of Amsterdam and the housing for first-timers in the Stepstone residential tower are also part of this block. The two other plots in this block are currently being designed (Plot B, DUWO student complex and plot 2E, Ceci housing complex). All of the buildings in the horseshoe-shaped block will have access to the planned Florence Pricehof.

Kenniskwartier

Over the next few years, in alliance with VU Amsterdam and Amsterdam University Medical Center, we are transforming Zuidas’ Kenniskwartier into an exciting mix that brings together a wide range of functions. In total, there will be around 2,700 homes in Kenniskwartier. Kenniskwartier also provides space for education and knowledge-related business, healthcare, culture, shops and hospitality/catering. Gustav Mahlerlaan, one of the main arteries of Kenniskwartier, divides the area into a northern and southern section.

Schedule

An announcement about which developer will be awarded the project is expected in May 2026. At that point, the developer will begin work on a design. By that time, more will also be known about the schedule. As things stand, construction is expected to start in June 2028, with completion in June 2030.
