The platform roof will be above the new Brittenpassage (set to open by 2027 at the latest), on the platform that serves tracks 1 and 2. The roof is being delivered in 19 sections from the Buiting steel plant in Almelo. The transport alone is a huge operation. We are placing a gigantic crane on the A10 Zuid opposite Amsterdam Zuid to lift the roof in sections across the track onto the platform. We did the same thing on 14 June 2025, for the platform where tracks 3 and 4 are. In order to hoist the platform roof into position, we are closing the A10 Zuid from 17 to 20 October in the direction of the A1 Hengelo and A2 Utrecht.
Experience it for yourself
You are welcome to join us at the Zuidas-Zuidasdok Information Centre. Alongside our gigantic model of Zuidas, information officers will explain what is happening. You will then take a short walk, accompanied by a guide, to the place where you can get the best view of the spectacle. The programme will last around an hour in total. There will be several sessions, at different times.

Important: Because of renovation work, the main entrance of the WTC is closed until the start of November 2025. In the meantime, you can use the entrance in Strawinskylaan, next to the kiss & ride. The walking route to the entrance is clearly indicated. As you enter, you will see the Information Centre opposite you.
