For the large-scale works of Zuidasdok, fifteen weekend closures of the A10 are required this year. In addition, during the summer holidays of 2026 – just like last year – the Amstelveenseweg underneath the A10 Zuid will be closed for about six weeks in order to build new viaducts. Besides road closures, there may also be noise disturbance at certain times. For example, we will install 500 foundation piles and carry out sheet-pile works.

Widening of the A10 Zuid

Between the Amstel junction and the De Nieuwe Meer junction, the A10 Zuid will be widened from four to six lanes in each direction: four for through traffic and two for local traffic. To make this possible, we are modifying fourteen existing viaducts in and around the De Nieuwe Meer junction (such as the viaduct at the Amstelveenseweg), increasing the number of bridges across the Schinkel, and building an entirely new fly-over that will connect the A10 Zuid to the A4 in the direction of Schiphol/Rotterdam.
