From Friday 3 July 21.00 until Monday 17 August 2026 05.00, the Amstelveenseweg will be closed to motorized traffic at the A10 South underpass.

Please allow for an additional travel time of 10 – 30 minutes.

Diversions for motorised traffic

  • Traffic towards Amsterdam will travel via the A10 South and turn around at the S109 Amsterdam – Rivierenbuurt
  • Traffic towards Amstelveen will travel via the A4 and turn around at exit 1 Amsterdam – Sloten
  • On- and off-ramps of S108 Amsterdam – Oud Zuid will remain open. Exception: on the evenings and nights of 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15 July.

Public transport

  • Buses can still use the Amstelveenseweg. Exception: on the evenings and nights of 6, 7, and 8 July between 09.00 PM and 07.30 AM, buses will follow an altered route.
  • The metro station Amstelveenseweg (metro 50 and 51) is only accessible via the west side of Amstelveenseweg. Please note: the metro station is inaccessible on the evenings and nights of 6, 7, and 8 July.
  • Between 4 and 25 July, tram 24 will not run between the Olympiaplein and De Boelelaan/VU stops.

Cyclists and pedestrians

  • Cyclists and pedestrians can still use Amstelveenseweg. Exception: on the evenings and nights of 6, 7 and 8 July between 09.00 PM and 07.30 AM. The diversion will then be via Piet Kranenbergpad.
