From Wednesday, 13 May to Sunday 17 May 2026 (Ascension weekend), no trains will run to and from Amsterdam Zuid station. The metro will continue to run. Plan your journey using the NS travel planner and allow for extra travel time, transfers, or detours. From Monday, 18 May trains will resume running according to the normal schedule.
Work
We are constructing a construction pit near the current station passage, from which we will later renovate the passage. To the east of the station, we are building the future Vivaldipassage. A large train deck is ready there, which will soon form part of the roof of this bicycle and pedestrian tunnel. From 13 May to 17 May, we will remove all tracks, slide the deck into place, and rebuild the tracks.
Travel advice
- Work from home if possible.
- Check ns.nl/en/journeyplanner before departure.
- Allow for additional travel time and possible detours or additional transfers.
