The Zuidas Sustainability award is a joint initiative of Green Business Club Zuidas, Hello Zuidas and Amsterdam Zuidas. Every year, the organisers present awards to projects with the greatest impact in terms of further improving the sustainability of Zuidas.
Six categories
The judging panel assess entries in six categories: Mobility & Logistics, Water & Green/Public Space, Circularity & Waste, Society & Economy, Buildings & Energy and Climate/General. In November 2024, awards were also presented to initiatives that focus on these themes.
Assessment criteria
The judging panel assesses each initiative based on a series of criteria. What is the environmental and social impact? Does the initiative help connect people? Which sustainability themes does the initiative touch on? How does it contribute to the social themes in Zuidas? The initiative’s visibility and potential for application are also key factors. How eye-catching is it? Which target groups can it inspire within Zuidas? Is there potential for interesting partnerships and alliances? And to what extent is the project’s sustainability scalable to other projects?
Entries and awards ceremony
For the 2025 edition, entries can be submitted until 8 October. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 13 November 2025, at DLA Piper in the Strawinskyhuis, Prinses Irenestraat.
Judging panel
The independent judging panel chaired by Yvette Watson (PHI Factory) will judge the entries. Other panel members include Ruth Jansen (Zuidas Today talk show host), Maurits Groen (communications consultant, environmental activist and entrepreneur) and Margreet van Gastel (member of the Green Business Club Nederland Advisory Council).
