Road users can expect additional journey times of up to one hour.
Works
We are working on the regeneration of Amsterdam Zuid station and the widening of the A10 Zuid. In the weekend of 17-20 October, we will be lifting new platform roofs for the station into position from the A10. At the De Nieuwe Meer junction, we are building a new flyover that will connect the A10 Zuid to the A4 in the direction of Schiphol. In order to do that work safely, we will also be closing the road connecting the A10 West to the A10.
Railway traffic
On Saturday, 18 and Sunday, 19 October 2025, there will be a reduced railway service running to and from Amsterdam Zuid station. Metros will still be running the normal timetable.

Amsterdam Marathon
The Amsterdam Marathon is also being held on the same weekend. It is the jubilee edition and lasts for two days rather than just one. This will also involve the need for road closures, especially in the city itself. Be prepared for congestion, longer journey times and if possible travel by bus, metro or bike instead. You can find more information on the Amsterdam Marathon website.
