The TriAX construction consortium (Besix, Dura Vermeer and Heijmans) is working for Zuidasdok on a safer and wider A10 Zuid. There will be two additional lanes in each direction. Through-traffic and local traffic will also be separated from each other. In order to make this possible, we are building a new flyover from the A10 Zuid in the direction of the A4 Schiphol/Rotterdam. There will also be extra bridges at the Schinkelbrug for road users.
More disruption in 2026
All of this is not possible without causing traffic disruption. You will probably have noticed this over the last year. For example, the A10 Zuid was closed for 16 days in a row during the summer. Moreover, next to the A10 viaduct, Amstelveenseweg was closed for more than five weeks. During the information meeting, we will explain which works are being carried out in the upcoming period. For example, the A10 Zuid will be closed for 15 weekends in 2026. Amstelveenseweg will be closed for six weeks in the summer of 2026.

Widening and tunnelling of the A10 Zuid
Part of the Zuidasdok project includes the widening of the A10, between the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel junctions, with two extra lanes in each direction. This is necessary in order to separate through-traffic and local traffic from each other. In the centre of Zuidas, the A10 will be disappearing underground into a tunnel. This will ensure safer and better traffic flow and accessibility in Amsterdam and the northern part of the Randstad, both by road and public transport. For this purpose, we are building or renovating 14 viaducts in and around the De Nieuwe Meer junction, including the viaduct next to Amstelveenseweg. We are also making changes to the A10 West (in the direction of the Coentunnel).
