The junction of Beethovenstraat and Maurice Ravellaan has been the site of various works since 2022. Together with utility companies, we have renewed and relocated almost all underground cables and pipelines. This was necessary to enable the construction of the Ravel residential neighbourhood to the east of Beethovenstraat. We will now also redesign the junction at ground level. This includes laying new asphalt, modifying the crossing at Ravellaan, and installing traffic systems such as traffic lights.

Disruption for pedestrians and cyclists

From Tuesday, 28 April to mid-July 2026, the pedestrian and cycle crossing at Beethovenstraat will be closed (near Valley, next to restaurant Ferilli’s in the direction of Mahlerlaan). The cycle and footpath on the east side of Beethovenstraat have already been closed for some time. During this period, crossing will only be possible at the junction of Beethovenstraat and De Boelelaan, and on the north side of Valley near the viaduct of the A10 Zuid.

Disruption for motorists

Motorists will face several road closures in May, June and July 2026, with the first taking place in the final week of May. We will provide timely updates via our website with details and diversion routes. The most up-to-date information is always available on the Current disruption page.

Maurice Ravellaan and Q-Park

Maurice Ravellaan will be closed to through traffic for both cars and cyclists until mid-July. Cyclists can use diversion routes via De Boelelaan and via Spoorslag along the A10 Zuid. The Q-Park car park in Valley will remain accessible from Antonio Vivaldistraat. Traffic will be guided via the cycle path with the help of signage.

Ravel residential neighbourhood

To the east of Beethovenstraat, along De Boelelaan and south of sports park Goed Genoeg (AFC), we are developing the Ravel residential neighbourhood. Ravel will be a green, low-traffic and mixed-use neighbourhood in the heart of Zuidas, designed for families and well integrated with the surrounding area. Over the coming years, we will build around 1,350 homes here.
