On Saturday 18 July and Sunday 19 July 2026 the east side/eastern lane (direction into the city) of the Beethovenstraat is closed.
Diversion
- Car traffic is being diverted via De Boelelaan and Parnassusweg.
- Cyclists and pedestrians are being diverted via the west side of Beethovenstraat.
- Spoorslag (past football club AFC) is open to pedestrians only.
Work
We are working at the Beethovenstraat/Maurice Ravellaan intersection. At Spoorslag, we are setting up a work site for the renovation of Amsterdam Zuid station. In Beethovenstraat, we are removing cables and pipes under the viaducts. Read more.
June, July, August 2026: closure of Parnassusweg
We alternate the above-mentioned works with work on a new metro viaduct on Parnassusweg. During this time, Beethovenstraat serves as the diversion route – when one is closed, the other is open.
