From Friday evening 24 July,19.00 to Monday morning 27 July 2026, 05.00 o’clock, the Beethovenstaat near the underpass is closed:
- Beethovenstraat is closed in both directions between The Valley building and De Boelelaan. Motorized traffic is being diverted via De Boelelaan and Parnassusweg.
- The east side of Beethovenstraat is closed to cyclists and pedestrians. They are being diverted via the west side of Beethovenstraat.
- The traffic light at the Beethovenstraat/Gustav Mahlerlaan intersection is out of order; traffic controllers are stationed there. The traffic light at De Boelelaan is operational again.
- Spoorslag past football club AFC is open to pedestrians only until Sunday, July 26. After that, Ravellaan on the other side of the football club will be open to all traffic.
- ABN AMRO Expeditie is inaccessible.
- Q-Park Valley: Entry and exit is possible via the entrance on Maurice Ravellaan, accessible only via Antonio Vivaldistraat.
Work
We are asphalt paving the Beethovenstraat/Gustav Mahlerlaan intersection and the south side of Beethovenstraat. We are removing cables and pipes from the subsurface along Beethovenstraat and installing a culvert under Beethovenstraat. Read more.
June, July, August 2026: closure of Parnassusweg
We alternate the above-mentioned works with work on a new metro viaduct on Parnassusweg. During this time, Beethovenstraat serves as the diversion route – when one is closed, the other is open.
