On Friday, 16 October 2026, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management Karremans explained these decisions in a letter to the Dutch House of Representatives (pdf, in Dutch). Zuidasdok is one of the projects mentioned. The Dutch government is making an additional €400 million available to enable Zuidasdok to proceed. This will make it possible to complete the southern section of the A10 Zuid project, including the southern tunnel and the southern side of the Amstel junction. The ambition remains to complete the entire project. For the construction of the northern tunnel and the northern side of the Amstel junction, the Dutch government is holding discussions with regional authorities and exploring alternative funding options.
In the coming weeks, the Dutch government will raise the question of priorities at the administrative consultations on the Multi-Year Programme for Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Transport (MIRT), scheduled for early November.
