18 November: information event Amstel junction

Over the coming years, Zuidasdok will be working on the widening of the A10 Zuid between the De Nieuwe Meer and Amstel junctions to improve traffic flow and road safety. This will involve major changes to the Amstel junction. Work will begin in 2028 and will include building or redesigning 23 viaducts, demolishing the existing southern Rozenoordbrug and building two new bridges. We will also make changes to Europaboulevard to ensure it connects properly to the new A10 tunnel.

It’s a major undertaking, and we’d be delighted to tell you more about it on Wednesday, 18 November 2026 at the Rosarium, Amstelpark 1, Europaboulevard. We hope to see you there.

3D model

There will, of course, be plenty of opportunities to ask our experts questions. We’ll also explain how the Amstel junction will change compared with its current layout. But the main attraction will be a digital 3D model of the future junction. A specialist from construction consortium Amstel Verbindt will take you on a virtual tour. You’ll even get to dive beneath the surface of the Amstel to see the supports of the Rozenoordbrug.

Reconstruction of Amstel junction

The reconstruction of the Amstel junction is part of the project to widen the A10 Zuid. The aim is to separate through traffic from local traffic by adding two lanes in each direction. To achieve this, we will build new connecting ramps, bridges across the Amstel and noise barriers.
