Nightwork around 2Amsterdam

Now that the hotel will almost open its doors and a part of the construction road has become redundant, we are working on a clean connection from the Strawinskylaan to 2Amsterdam. During the night of 10 to 11 December between 1:00 and 5:00 o’clock, we will apply asphalt here. In addition, during this night we will apply asphalt to a part of the Strawinskypad, between the AICS and the ‘Freshfields’ building.

The work will cause nuisance: a part of the road is closed and running engines and traffic movements may result in noise nuisance. We are working at night because the public transport needs to remain available on the Strawinskylaan. The road from the Beethovenstraat in the direction of the Parnassusweg remains open.

The renovation of the two iconic towers of Zuidas, now known as 2Amsterdam, previously as the Twin Towers that housed Stibbe and AkzoNobel, has already been in full swing since 2015. The hotel in the former AkzoNobel tower is almost ready, work is still carried out on the tower that used to house Stibbe. This building will be ready mid-2021.
