Five views on zoning plan for Ravel residential district

The zoning plan concerns the new residential district that is set to be built between the new AFC football pitches and De Boelelaan. The development plan (pdf) for the neighbourhood was presented in June 2020. In Ravel, there will be 1,350 homes, with a particular focus on family homes. Before that, the City Council must officially approve the zoning plan for this part of Zuidas. A zoning plan gives a very precise description of what is permitted to be built where and what use of space is allowed. This can, for example, affect direct neighbours or other stakeholders. This is why the law states that everyone can respond to the draft zoning plan by submitting a view.

Ravel will be on the right

Views

The draft zoning plan for the Ravel residential district was open for consultation until 3 February 2021. Five views were submitted. The next step will be to process these views in a Response Memorandum (Nota van Beantwoording). In it, we will describe what we will do in response to the views. A view submitted can lead to changes to the zoning plan. On the other hand, the Response Memorandum may explain why it is not possible or desirable to adopt a view submitted.

The zoning plan is expected to receive official approval from the City Council in the summer of 2021.
