Placement of sheet piles during two weekends in January

The sheet piles will need to be installed using a vibratory hammer because they are very long and the subsoil is tightly compacted. The sheet piles are required to make construction pits. They will hold the surrounding soil and water in place around the pits, so that work can be carried out inside them. Vibrations during the installation may result in some disruption due to noise. During both weekends, the Nieuw-Zuid construction consortium will work on Saturdays between 7:00 and 21:00 and on Sunday between 9:00 and 19:00. The work will only continue after 21:00 on Saturday evening in the event of unforeseen situations, such as very bad weather or defective machinery. However, we expect to carry out low-noise work after 21:00 on Saturday evening and after 19:00 on Sunday evening.
