12-15 Juli: A10 Zuid closed in the direction of Schiphol

The road closure will start at 22.00 on Friday, 12 July and end at 05.00 on Monday, 15 July. If you are travelling from the Hengelo (A1) and Utrecht (A2) directions or from the A10 Oost, it will not be possible to access the A10 Zuid in the direction of A4 Schiphol. The S109 Buitenveldert access road and the S111 Overamstel in the direction of A4 Schiphol/Rotterdam will also be closed. However, the A10 Zuid in the direction of A1 Hengelo and A2 Utrecht will be open as normal.

What are the alternatives?

Travelling from the A2

The Amstel junction will be closed in the direction of the A10 Zuid and A4 (Schiphol/Rotterdam). Traffic on the A2 in the direction of Amsterdam Zuid can join the A9 at the Holendrecht junction to reach the A4 and A10.

Travelling from the A10 Oost

The Amstel junction will be closed in the direction of the A10 Zuid and A4 (Schiphol/Rotterdam). Traffic on the A10 Oost can join the A2 at the Amstel junction and the A9 at the Holendrecht junction to reach the A4 and A10.

Travelling from the A10 Noord

The Watergraafsmeer junction will be closed in the direction of the A10 Zuid and A4 (Schiphol/Rotterdam). Traffic on the A10 Noord can join the A1 (Hengelo/Almere) at the Watergraafsmeer junction and the A9 in the direction of Haarlem at the Diemen junction and then take the A4 and A10.

Local traffic

The S108 (Oud Zuid) exit will be closed. The S108 and S109 access roads in the direction of A4 Schiphol/Rotterdam will also be closed. The S111 Overamstel access road in the direction of the A10 Zuid and A4 will be closed. Traffic will be diverted locally.

Why close the A10 Zuid?
This is the second closure of the A10 Zuid, in a series of a total of eight weekends in 2024. On this occasion, we are closing the A10 Zuid, because we need to use the road to work on Amsterdam Zuid station. During the summer, we are working for seven consecutive weeks on the metro track, on an additional passenger tunnel and the existing passageway. In the weekend of 12 to 15 July, we are demolishing a metro platform and track. Large cranes are required to do this and construction traffic will need to arrive and depart.
