The road will be closed from 21.00 in the evening of Friday, 20 September until 05.00 the following Monday. From the Badhoevedorp junction up to and including the S108 exit to Amsterdam Oud-Zuid. Diversion routes will be signposted. This is the third closure of the A10 Zuid, in a series of a total of eight weekends in 2024.

Please note: contrary to what is stated in the video, the work will start at 21.00 on Friday evening.
Cyclists and pedestrians will also be affected
Cyclists and pedestrians will also be affected by the work during the weekend. Jachthavenweg and Piet Kranenbergpad will be closed entirely. The cycle path and footpath on Amstelveenseweg will be closed for a short time for safety reasons. Traffic on Jaagpad will be stopped. These stops will be in force at the point where the viaduct carries the A10 Zuid and will last around five minutes. There will be several such stops on each day.
Preparation of extra lanes on A10 Zuid
All the closures are necessary to allow the A10 Zuid to be widened. Additional carriageways are to be created for traffic in both directions, each with two extra lanes, intended for local traffic. From the De Nieuwe Meer junction, extra viaducts are needed over Amstelveenseweg and Piet Kranenbergpad, and extra bridges over the River Schinkel. We are currently making preparations for the construction of these bridges and viaducts. At various locations along the A10 Zuid, we are inserting temporary sheet piling into the ground (see the yellow circles on the above map). We are doing this in order to be able to dig the embankment on which the A10 Zuid is built. The sheet piling will then ensure that the road remains stable in its current position. The digging work is necessary as there is no space alongside the embankment to build the extra carriageways. We will be building them where the embankment is currently situated.
Working safely
To be able to insert the temporary sheet piling safely, we must close the A10 Zuid. For cyclists and pedestrians, we must enforce safety zones during the hoisting of the sheet piling elements. This explains the stops for five minutes.
