The dismantling of the Circl pavilion in Gustav Mahlerplein has now been completed. The last wood and steel components have been transported to the storage site, the construction site has been cleared and the basement area protected. On Tuesday, 1 April 2025, Icon Real Estate is organising a final walk-in meeting about the dismantling of the Circl pavilion. You are welcome to attend between 12.00 and 14.00 in the construction hut where the Circl pavilion used to be. You will have an opportunity to talk to developer LMTD and the experts from lcp-circulair who completed the dismantling.
Mahler 1
Icon Real Estate is now focusing on preparations for the construction of Mahler 1, on which work is expected to start in the summer of 2025. Until then, there will be minimal activity on the construction site.
Redevelopment of ABN AMRO complex
Mahler 1 is part of the redevelopment of the entire ABN AMRO complex. The bank announced its partial departure at the end of 2020. The complex is to be used to provide space for housing, retail, places to meet and amenities. Icon Real Estate is now set to begin active discussions about the plans to redevelop the complex. This also happened previously in November 2024.
Survey and focus groups
On 19, 20 and 29 March 2025, there will be interviewers on hand at various times around Gustav Mahlerplein conducting a survey. Would you like to give your opinion? If so, feel free to speak to them. There are also plans for focus groups to explore the themes of housing, amenities, sustainability and mobility in more detail. By gaining input from people who know Zuidas well, Icon Real Estate aims to ensure that the plans properly reflect local needs. What are the things that people value? What is currently lacking? How can the redevelopment improve things?
