The closure starts at 22.00 on the evening of Saturday, 5 August and ends before the morning rush-hour on Monday, 14 August. This can increase your journey time by up to one hour.

Travel advice

If you want to find out the best way to travel, you are advised not to wait until your car navigation system suggests a diversion. This is because this does not happen until the day on which the road has already been closed. That makes it likely that you will be severely delayed. In order to prevent that, we are offering you the Ask&Go service. You can use it to request advice now, whether you are travelling by car or by train. This will be particularly useful if you are returning to Schiphol from holiday and are eager to know what your best options are.

The key diversions

The A4/A10 Zuid will be closed from the Badhoevedorp interchange to the S109 RAI exit road.
At the Badhoevedorp interchange, traffic travelling from the A4 Rotterdam/Schiphol will need to make a choice between the diversions via the A9 and the A5/A10 Noord.

Traffic from the A10 West will not be able to access the A10 Zuid in the direction of Hengelo and Utrecht.
Advice: Travel via the A4 and A9 to reach the A2.

Traffic travelling from the Amstelveen direction (A9) can use the intersection heading to the A10 Zuid/A10 West.
Advice: Travel via the A5 and take exit 3 (S102) Westpoort/Centre.

Please note that you can continue to use the A10 Zuid in the direction of the A4/Schiphol
